Much to their chagrin, my parents had little influence on my musical tastes when I was a teen, EXCEPT for Chet Atkins. Now hearing Chet, and especially this tune, takes me back to that BSR record changer I abused in the 70s.
So I dedicate this performance of Alley Cat to my mom and dad, and to Mike Bromley, as well, who gave me the fabulous 1965 Fender Super Reverb that was used in recording it. Forever grateful.
Here’s a new tune I wrote in April 2021! I call it Sunshine and Vine.
It’s a glacial process! Here’s the newest original, August 2024. It’s called Gumption, and it’s on jimbaxter.bandcamp.com/track/gumption
